inI’m excited to be making Jesse Tree ornaments for a new family tradition! I bought the template here. Here’s a picture of what I’ll end up with:
I thought Juni might be able to help make some of the ornaments but they seem too complicated and her attention span is nil today.
I’d better clean up now. I have to finish my Bible study homework and pack for our trip tomorrow.

I made this bag for Gloria last September, just before baby B was born. The pattern is from Last Minute Patchwork + Quilted Gifts by Joelle Hoversen (gorgeous book with gorgeous projects but Mom and Gloria, you are not allowed to make them because I have dibs). I had the women at her shower write encouraging notes on fabric and made that fabric the lining of the bag so my sister would see the tangible evidence of just some of the people who love her and believe she’s a great mom. I’m proud of this bag and want to post photos because it’ll inspire me to make more things!

inI’ve made so many of these peapod hats for other babies but am thrilled to post this picture because Eliza now has one of her very own!
I love this pattern, it’s clean, simple, and covers her ears (which can be rare with knitted hats). I also love knitting with cotton yarn because it contours very nicely, isn’t scratchy, and I think will even wash nicely.
Keeping the hat on her head will be an entirely different story.
